Kyoo Sun Chung graduated from Worcester State University in Worcester Massachusetts, and majored in mathematics and minored in education. After his college education, he served in the United States Army for over 12 years as an accountant. He went back to Pierce College to obtain one-year accounting program certificate. He is certified as 9th through 12th grade mathematics teacher from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.He has taught students in North Bridge High School in Whitinsville, MA. He has great passion for education and loves to be a mentor for young students. He has two children, Favian and Helen. Both graduated from Evergreen Lutheran High School.
Jeffrey Carter was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. He graduated from Northwestern College, a teaching college, and later pursued theological studies at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. After serving as a pastor for the WELS for several years. And then, pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching degree, he transitioned to teaching in both public and private schools for over 15 years at a private school that catered to children with learning struggles and disabilities, where he taught various subjects, including math, reading, writing, music, and Washington State History across multiple grades. Alongside his teaching career, Jeffrey is an active member of his church, where he plays the trumpet and sings for services. He is also a talented musician who performs in a swing/big band jazz group
Jerry Glaser is an experienced math and physics teacher who has taught at various schools in Washington state, including Todd Beamer High School in Federal Way, Puyallup High School, Stahl Junior High School, and Ballou Junior High School in Puyallup. He has developed and implemented Math curriculum, counseled and communicated with students and parents, coached football, and served on a budget task force. Jerry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Washington State University in Pullman, as well as an MBA from City University and a National Board of Professional Teaching Certification in Adolescent to Young Adult Mathematics.
Nadia Gutierrez has a bachelor’s in communications with a minor in education and Spanish from the University of Washington. In spare time, she love to read, paint, go hiking, and be with her family. She also enjoy travelling with her husband. She is excited to meet you all and can’t wait to start teaching Spanish at Bright Light School! .
Sang-Seon Yun earned his BSc. and MSc. in Oceanography from Seoul National University, Korea and his Ph.D. in Marine Biology from Royal Holloway, University of London, UK. Since 2000, he has been working in some academic institutions such as Michigan State University, Kunsan National University, and the University of British Columbia, conducting fisheries and environmental research and mentoring Native American students. He currently working as a consultant assisting the Skokomish Indian Tribe for their water quality laboratory.
He graduated from Seoul Han-Young University in Korea and completed a theological degree at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Seminary and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Wisconsin. He has also completed a bilingual teacher course at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma and graduated from Se-Jong University with a major in the Korean language in Seoul. Pastor Park is a dedicated family man with three loved ones: his wife, one son, and one daughter.
In 2006, he started teaching Catechism for 7th and 8th-grade students and counseling international students at Holy Trinity Lutheran School, and he has been teaching Korean in Bright Light School. He has been serving the Korean Lutheran Church since 1999 in Seattle.

Mi-hyun Yi graduated from Mokpo University in South Korea with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She immigrated to the United States in 2004. She is married to Chun-su Yi, and has two children, Lindsey Yi and Tiffany Yi. Since 2010, she has been and continues to serve the Korean class of Bright Light School.
Jung Hee Choi is a member of Korean Lutheran Church, and is teaching students in Bright Light School. She was born and raised in Korea. She has moved to the U.S. in 2000.
